Compartment #4

She waved to whoever was left on the platform. There wasn't anyone she knew personally.

Amanda began to wave to her parents, who as soon as they waved back, began to move towards the pillar.

"WAIT, DID YOU SAY SOMETHING ABOUT ANGEL?!" Serenity perked up. She had been tuning out the entire conversation. "Let me tell you all about Angel." She said to Amanda. Immediately, she started talking as rapidly as she could about him.

Mél occasionally interrupted whenever Serenity got something (from her perspective, anyway) wrong.

"What do you mean?! He plays the cello WONDERFULLY!" Serenity insisted. "You're completely out of line!"

Amanda was so surprised at the rapid conversation she pressed herself against the compartment wall as if Serenity was going to explode with excitement.

"Are you kidding? Every day I hear him practicing! Every day! It sounds like he's killing cats! Cats! Poor, little, innocent kitty-cats! Killing them! By slitting their throats!"

Amanda brought Charlotte's cat carrier close to her. "Are you- serious!?"

"His playing is beautiful! He's going to be great one day. Really." Serenity was starting to get red around the face, as she always did while talking about Melanie's brother. "It sounds nothing like killing cats."

Amanda was beginning to look doubtful about the amazing-ness about Angel with Melanie's interjections.

"And he's SOOOOO smart!" Serenity started on that subject, her speed increasing.

"Oh, he's in Raven Claw?"

"Well.. No. He's in Slytherin, I think. But that doesn't mean he's not brilliant! He has ambition. How dare you be so shallow to judge people on their house?!"

Mélenie fell into a trance watching the landscape flying by.

"I wasn't!" Amanda's eyes widened. "I- I just thought he was Raven Claw from his description. Slytherin could still mean he is really smart! Like cunning and everything!"

"Oh. Okay.. Well, he's still the greatest. Hey, Melly-Belly, do you know where he is? Amelia should be able to meet him!" Obviously she was so preoccupied she didn't even remember Amanda's name.

"Uhm... it would be nice to meet him, but my name is Amanda."

"Right, Amanda! So, Mel? Can I go bother him pleasepleaseplease?" Serenity blinked and smiled and did her best puppy dog face.

"You'll have to find him! I let go of his hand when I was getting on the train, so... That's how I met you guys! I guess it was a good thing!"

Amanda smiled nervously. "If it's not so much of a task to find him, why don't we just chill here?"

"All we have to do is go open compartments.." Serenity grumbled. "It's really worth the effort." But, she took out some fashion magazine and opened it up.

"Go for it! I think he's in the car that way." She didn't indicate which way.

"So, erm, what do you guys like to do for fun?"

"I like shopping! Also, vacationing. And yachting. I play golf occasionally... Oh, and talking to boys!"

Amanda sheepishly smiled. "Those all sound very fun. I've never yachted before, though."
