Compartment Number 8

"Oh my God, you're Italian!" Karin shouted, pointing at him accusingly.

"T-that's racist! How could you just assume that?"

"How is that racist?" inquired Karin. "I wasn't making a cruel comment about your ethnicity, I was just pointing something out. Besides, I'm Italian too, so even if I DID make a racist comment, I would have the right to say whatever I want about my race."

Antonio frowned. "Just because I'm tan doesn't mean I'm Italian..."

"You have an accent, too."

"What if it was just the way I talked?"

"Well, it's distinctly Italian. I should know because my father has the same accent, except his is more so."

"Oh." Antonio sighed. This girl was weird.

Selia, finally regaining her ability to speak after all of the people walked by, smiled at all of the new arrivals. "Hi. I'm Selia." She said, looking quite chipper.

"Hi Selia!" Antonio made a side note of that name. He'll most likely forget everyone's name either way.

Fry turned to Selia. "Selia? What, did your parents forget the n or something?"

"Fry, that's mean," Holly scolded him. "Selia's a very pretty name. Hi, Antonio, Karin. I'm Holly."

Fry rolled his eyes. "What are you, my mother? Sorry, I just said goodbye to her on the train station, didn't know I'd still have her coming with me to Hogwarts."

"Your mum's a Muggle, Fry, she can't go to Hogwarts with you," Holly said, rolling her eyes. "If you're going to try and insult me, use some logic!"

"Where would they forget the n?" Selia asked. "It wouldn't be Senlia.. Or Selnia.. Oh. Selina." She said, grinning, but quickly frowned. "That's not funny!"

Fry laughed to himself. "Well I was kind of stating you as my mom, Holly, but I just realized that would be horrible! And yeah, obviously Selina. Or Nelsia. I'm calling you that. Nelsia. It sounds like some disease to do with the nose."

Selia got rather red. "My name is Selia!" She protested, while trying to remember his name. "And you shouldn't be talking- your name is Fry. What kind of parents would name you Fry?"

"It's actually Anand. But the way we found out I was a wizard was that I kept burning, or "frying" stuff. Too bad YOU don't have a cool nickname!"

Selia frowned at him. "Well, I'm sure that if I knew anyone inventive, they could up with a cool nickname. Fry is the stupidest nickname ever, too."

"No it's not.. It's pretty interesting. Hey, Antonio! What do you think of the name Fry?"

"It's okay."

"HA!"

"He's only saying that because we've all just met and he doesn't want to offend you! Hey, Antonio, what do you think of the name Selia? It's not stupid, is it?" She argued right back.

Antonio grinned anxiously. "It's a nice name! I've never heard it before though."

Fry snorted. Then, he said in a high whiny voice, "'He's only saying that because we've all just met and he doesn't want to offend you'!"

"He was ambivalent to you! What he said about my name actually had some meaning to it." Selia said, looking flustered. "He just said yours was OKAY. See? This is why my name is better than yours!"
