Engorgement and Reducement Charms

•Engorgement (Engorgio)
--> Charm which causes target to swell in size.
----> Uses vary; useful for housework, enlarging diagrams, foods, etc.
......> To use, take wand and pull arm back as though stretching air with wand, while reciting charm. Vigorous movements.
•Reducement (Reducto)
--> Charm which causes target to shrink in size.
----> Uses vary; see above for examples.
......> To use, take wand and bring up forward towards target as though compressing air, while reciting charm. Vigorously.

Homework: Bring a small object to class (acorn, nut, needle, etc) and present it to the class, performing an engorgement and reducement charm on it. Practice charm on marbles distributed during classtime.

ENGORGIO
--makes stuff bigger
--pull arm back while reciting charm - vigorous!
--n.b. use for homework assignments/diagrams (esp. transfiguration)

REDUCTO
--opposite of engorgio (makes stuff smaller)
--opposite wand movement! bring wand forwards while reciting (still vigorous)
--is it possible to use on armpit hairs???? (ask grace)

homework: practice on empty ink bottle (or the cork, whichever is easier)--bring to class tomorrow!!!

Why do we always write "while reciting charm"? Unless it's silent... pretty obv.
